I moved to New York in 1994. Worked at Ducati Manhattan. Built a motorcycle business to nearly $1M in year one. Lost it. Rebuilt from a garage floor with one HP Pavilion PC and a $20 Flash banner on eBay.
Then came a Pancoast tumor. Surgery. Eighteen months of recovery. $1.2 million in costs. The clearest thinking of my life came out of that room.
My wife Dana has been by my side for 20 years this year. Through every hard thing, every uncertain moment, every day in that recovery that felt like it had no end, she was there. She is a forever artist who has genuinely changed how I see the world. During the worst of it, she held everything together with a quiet strength that I will never fully be able to put into words. I am three years in remission. Building harder than ever. She is a big part of why.
I moved to Ohio to be close to my son. We ride and build motorcycles together. The AI runs the business so I can run my life.
